Freedom in Christ Class

You've identified the giant in your life. Now what? This six week biblically based class deals with the practical aspects of living the Christian life. The Lord Jesus wants you to be free from the spiritual and personal conflicts of the past and present so that you can be all that He has created you to be. God has given us the tools for the break-through that we are searching for.

What are the giants you are facing? Giants are the things in your life that you must fight or they will control you, enslave you or take you out. Enter the names of your giants below and select “Anonymous” to share it to our prayer wall. Then, take some time to pray over those requests.

Fighting your giants is a war of words. Be armed and ready at all times to replace lies from the enemy with the Truth of God’s Word. Let’s follow the example of Jesus in the wilderness as He fought the enemy with “It is written…” Here are some ideas of scripture to read, learn, memorize, declare out loud as you fight the giants in your life.

Prayer of Freedom - Week 1

As God as my eternal witness, my Savior and my Judge, I affirm that I am a child of God who has been purchased by the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. I confess Him as my Lord and Savior, and by my own will I specifically renounce Satan as my lord and god. As one completely acknowledging and accepting the finished work of Christ on the cross for my redemption and my only hope of eternal life, I now renounce all ancestral and genetic ties back as many generations on my dad’s side, on my mom’s side, as far as you need to go, God. I have through the Lord Jesus Christ’s own shed blood been redeemed and delivered from the powers of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of God. Therefore, I now cancel out and nullify all demonic power or affect that has been passed down to me by my ancestors including ancestral demons, their networks, and any other weapons Satan may use against me. The Lord Jesus Christ came, and became accursed for me by dying a death on a tree, so I use the authority that is found in Him to cancel every curse that has been placed on me with or without my knowledge. As God’s child, covered by the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, totally trusting in the atoning power of that blood, I cancel, I renounce, I sever, and I nullify every agreement that I have made with the enemy, or anyone else. I renounce and I sever any and every way that Satan has gotten ground in my life. All the ground I have ever given to him that gave him power or claim over me I cancel, I renounce, I sever, and I nullify. Any powers, gifts, or workings in me that are not of you, God, or pleasing to you, I renounce. I confess that I totally belong to the Lord Jesus Christ, and as one who has been crucified, and raised with Christ, I now sit with Him in heavenly places. I give myself eternally and completely over to the Lord Jesus Christ. It is my desire that my Lord Jesus will have total control over my life. All these things I say and I do in the precious name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and by his absolute power and authority over all things, rulers, authorities, principalities, and powers, with a child-like faith I thank you that it is done.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Prayer for Purification - Week 2

Heavenly Father I bow in worship and praise before you, I cover myself with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, I surrender myself completely in every area of my life to you, I address myself only to the true living God and I refuse any involvement of the enemy.

Search me oh God, know my thoughts, my ways, the deepest part of my being. Reveal to me the giants in my life, the things that seek to enslave me. My sins, my wounds, from the past until now. Heavenly Father, I confess the sins that you have shown me. I recognize the pain and trauma that has wounded me, either by my own doing or what has been done to me. I repent from every activity that has given the enemy a foothold in my life. I break every agreement that I had with the enemy, and I release those who have hurt me. Work in me, to cleanse me, to purify me from all unrighteousness. Give me ears to hear you Lord, and courage and faith to walk in obedience to you. Heavenly Father, give me a passion for you, to know you and love you with all of my heart. Help me to desire and pursue holiness, because you are holy.

I’m thankful that the victory Jesus Christ won for me on the cross in his resurrection has been given to me. I’m seated with the Lord Jesus Christ in the heavenlies, I take my place with him in the heavenlies. I affirm that the word of God is true. I choose to live today in light of God’s word. I choose heavenly father to live in obedience to you and fellowship with you.

In name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Prayer for Victory - Week 3

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your great love for me, and for sending me your Holy Spirit to guide me. Thank you, Holy Spirit for revealing the things in me that are not from God. Continue to show me the areas of my life that are Giants, things that are trying to enslave me.

Father, I confess any unforgiveness and sin that I have held onto. Please show me the root of the sins and iniquities that have tried to hold me back, help me to repent and turn from them. God I ask you for a heart change in me, true repentance, please take my heart of stone and give me a heart of flesh.

Thank you Heavenly Father, that no temptation has or will come to me that You won’t provide a way out. Thank you Jesus, for your example of resisting temptation, and Your finished work for me on the cross, giving me – as a Child of God – the authority to bind the enemy. Defeating his attempts in and on my life and my family’s life.

Thank you that I am a new creation in Christ, I don’t have to live in shame or condemnation anymore. God I ask you to bind any spirit of shame, any spirit of despair, or unbelief, or fear. I cast out fear and every evil thing in my life, with the authority You have given to me, by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I place instead the Word of God in my heart, my mind and my life. I ask you Holy Spirit to fill me to overflowing. I speak the Word of God, which is the Sword of the Spirit, over my circumstances, and as a weapon against any giants that I face. I declare, as You have said in Your Word, that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Thank you that you are faithful to help finish the work you’ve begun in me … Thank you for the victory I have today!

In Jesus name, Amen.

Prayer against Loneliness - Week 4

Heavenly Father, I confess the feelings and emotions that I have allowed to keep me stuck. I cast off the spirit of loneliness, the spirit of anxiety, the spirit of fear and any suicidal thoughts. I place the blood of Jesus between us.

I choose today to replace the lies of the enemy, with the Truth of the Word of God. I am who You say I am, I am chosen and loved, I am yours. I declare your word Lord, that when the enemy comes like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard against him.

I cast down every thought that exalts itself above the authority of God. I choose to fix my eyes on you Jesus, the author and perfector of my faith. Holy Spirit help me to focus on whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure. Holy Spirit, you are my counselor, my comforter and my guide. Heavenly Father, continue to be my ever present help in times of trouble, you are the God of all comfort. You will never leave me or forsake me. Thank you Lord, for the freedom and healing I have in you. In Jesus name, Amen and Amen.

Prayer for the Future - Week 5

Heavenly Father, thank you for giving me ears to hear you today. Thank you that you are always working and that you are trustworthy. You are good, You are faithful, You are secure, You are my firm foundation.

Father, I confess and reject any and every fear in me, or shame that has been put on me. You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. I am Your child, loved and chosen, created for your purpose and your glory.

I chose today to declare the Truth over my life and my circumstances! Your Word is true and applies to my life, everyday.

I declare that no weapon formed against me will prosper, I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus.

I believe that You will finish the work that You have started in me, for Your glory. You are equipping me with everything I need to do your will.

I am confident Lord, that you are always with me.

In Jesus, I have been given the gift of The Holy Spirit to guide me and to counsel me.

I look to You Lord, I depend on you, I surrender my desire to control. I trust You to direct my steps, as I seek You and listen to You.

Thank you Lord, that you never change! From the rising of the sun, to the going down of the same, I choose to praise you! I worship You Lord, in spirit and in truth. In Jesus name, Amen and Amen.

Prayer against Rebellion - Week 6

Heavenly Father, ALL authority it yours! I choose to place myself COMPLETELY under Your authority!

Lord Jesus, I give you my will, my rights, and my life, my spouse, my children, my home, my job, finances, needs, desires, direction, flesh, purpose, and control. Search me and try me, see if there is any wicked way in me, shine your light in my heart and show me any rebellion. I repent of it, I turn my back on it, remove all those things that need to be removed Lord, and bring into my life what needs to be brought in.

Holy Spirit, show me the idols in my life, anything that is elevated above God, in my heart and mind, and in my life. I confess that you are all I have, want, and need. I worship You alone God!

Lord Jesus, by the power of your shed blood I cancel, renounce, and sever from my life, my spouses life, my children’s life, my grandchildren’s life, and my home, job, finances, needs, desires, direction, flesh, purpose, and control – any words of witchcraft, vows, pacts, agreements, curses, and anything else that has been sent against any of us.

I submit fully to you Lord Jesus. Don’t let anything that has not first gone through the cross and the blood of Jesus touch me, my family, or my church. Thank you that you have given me authority, as I walk under Your authority. I thank you and I praise you in Jesus name, Amen.

Prayer for Victory - Week 7

James 4:7-10

7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. 9Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.

Victory will come when you…

  1. Submit Yourself to God
  2. Resist the Devil
  3. Draw Close to God
  4. Wash Your Hands
  5. Purify Your Hearts
  6. Unify Your Loyalty
  7. Repent
  8. Humble Yourself

Dear Lord, I submit myself to you today. You are God and I fully place myself under Your authority and Your Lordship. I humble myself and I exalt you in my life.

Today, I resist the devil and I declare that greater is He who is in me than he that’s in the world. Father would you give me personal words, from Your Word, that will counter the specific attacks and the specific temptations coming my way. Help me to know, love, memorize Your Word.

God I draw close to you today, and I ask that you take my core, the one that is saved, the one that is teachable, the one that is soft, pliable, responsive to you. I want to snuggle up to You and place my head on Your chest and hear Your heartbeat for me.

Lord today I wash my hands, I repent from all of my sinful actions. (Every sinful action that He brings to your mind, name it, name all of them and give them to God). Wash it away. All of the ground that I have given to the enemy, I give it back to you Jesus. I ask that You remove anything and everything that I have allowed in or on my life that is not from you.

Lord today I purify my heart. I ask that you cleanse all my inward motives and I give all of the wounds inflicted upon me to You. I ask for you to heal all physical wounds, emotional wounds, spiritual wounds, that I have ever encountered. I forgive those who have wounded me and I place all of those wounds on the cross. I release them to You and ask for Your healing touch to minister life to all of me.

And Lord today, I give all of my loyalty to You. I ask that you unify my loyalty. I confess all of the iniquities of my fathers, on both my father and mother sides, as far back as I have to go.  I call it sin and I confess it to You and ask for Your cleansing & forgiveness. I ask You to kick out of my life anything passed down, anything visiting me, my family, my children & my children’s children. Fuse together all of my soul as 1 unit totally surrendered to Jesus

Lord today I repent of all my sin… give me the gift of repentance, genuine biblical repentance, tears, sorrow, grief. I tell you I’m sorry Lord for the things that I’ve added on Jesus on the cross.

Jesus thank you for taking on and becoming all of my sin, all my iniquity, all my failure. Thank you for dying on that tree in my place.

I humble myself under Your leadership, Your Lordship. May Your will be done in my life, my family’s life, & my church. In Jesus name I pray… Amen and Amen.
