Missions is the heartbeat of theChurch. Because our God is a global God, each of us should be globally-minded Believers. It is a privilege to be a part of God’s plan to change the world beginning right here in our metro area.

We use a made up word “glocal” to describe the focus of theChurch. It is the merging of global and local. For years economists and business strategists have proclaimed “the world is flat”, meaning that we live in an age where even a local business can have a global impact. The reality is, our church believes the same thing. We should be bringing local resources to global solutions for the sake of the Gospel, and we should be doing so as creatively as possible.

Our mission’s goal is to plug you into a place where you can make the most difference with the skills, abilities, passions, experience, and resources that God has blessed you with. Serving God changes lives (sometimes your life more than those you serve). We truly believe God has blessed us to be a blessing to the entire planet!

There are 1.7 billion people on planet earth who live outside of the influence of Christianity (no missionaries, no churches, and no Christian radio/TV), and that fact is the driving force behind asking you to consider being involved internationally.

Would you take some beginning steps of faith this year, so that God can use you to change the world?

• Sell something you own to help finance your trip, and then ask others to help ‘send’ you.
